Whenever you ask for the best Nepali web hosting company in any forum, there’ll be people who will strongly suggest you skip them for international providers, citing unreliable services and unprofessional support shown by local companies.
International vs Nepali Web Hosting Companies
Well, suppose you can afford the international providers and have a dollar card or other international payment method at your disposal. In that case, you should stop reading this article at this point and find a detailed comparison of the world’s best hosting services.
But from my personal experience, Nepali web hosting is good enough if you are just starting out. They are perfect if you are expecting a small niche audience on your website or are starting a website to put your newly found skill to the test or as a hobby.
In my case, I created my first website for free using InfinityFree (check how I did it here), and when it finally started getting traction, I decided to go for paid hosting.
Here’s why I picked a web hosting based in Nepal over a global counterpart like Hostinger or GoDaddy:
- While my website was getting some traffic, it was not generating any revenue, so I needed a cheaper option.
 - I did not have access to a dollar card or other international payment method that I could use for global checkout.
 - The majority of the features advertised by international hosting providers were way overkill for my small website.

Free vs Paid Web Hosting: Which do need
If these points relate to you, free web hosting services like InfinityFree is still an option. They are perfect for pet projects, hobbies, and test sites.
You can also use these services as you build your site and then migrate to more robust services when it’s ready.
When to upgrade from free to paid web hosting
Here are some signs that you need to shift from free web hosting to a paid plan:
- You outgrew the free plan. Free hosting comes with limitations; when you start hitting those, it’s time to upgrade.
 - Free services are, well, unreliable, so downtime is expected here and there. However, if it happens all the time it’s a sign.
 - Finally, if you test the website is getting quality traffic, I strongly recommend you to good hosting to capitalize on it.

Best Web Hosting Providers in Nepal
There are plenty of hosting providers in Nepal. However, this post will only cover two: Babal Host and Nest Nepal. The reason is that I have personally used and have had good experience with both.
Babal Host: Best for Annual Plans
What I like about Babal Host is the straightforward pricing model. They don’t confuse you with tens of options for each hosting. There are at most two plans for each hosting and the plans are priced accordingly. You don’t have to commit to a multi-year contract to get the best deals.

Pros of Babal Host
- Straight-forward plans
 - Affordable annual pricing
 - Free SSL and 99.99% uptime guarantee

Nest Nepal: Best for Triennial Plan
My next recommendation is Nest Nepal. They offer a lot of hosting plans so you will have to be a little careful when choosing a plan (Not all have the 99.99% uptime guarantee). But for beginners, I recommend going for Web Pro.
Moreover, they have flexible plans where you can pay monthly, annually, or tri-annually. They also have plans with new domain registration bundled.

Pros of Nest Nepal
- Flexible pricing plans (Monthly, Anually, and Tri-annually)
 - Plans with Free Domains

Conclusion
So, Babal Host and Nest Nepal are my recommendations for web hosting companies if you are looking for affordable plans in Nepal.
If you already own a domain, say free .com.np, Babal Host could be a good option. They have good annual plans cheap pricing that you won’t have to scratch your heads around.
But if don’t, Nest Nepal has web hosting plans with bundled domains. But do check the plan you are opting for has the uptime you need. It is the best option if you are looking for multi-year plans.
