Something feels off with your site? Let’s find it.
Run five free checks yourself below. Or send me your site and I’ll send you what I find: what Google sees, what’s costing you, and what to fix first.
- 1What Google sees when it looks at your site
- 2What’s costing you visitors or enquiries
- 3What to fix first, in plain words
Taking sites this week.
Five checks you can run yourself
Each one opens a free Google tool with your site already filled in. Then tell the page what you saw, and it puts together a short summary.
Has Google flagged a security problem?
Search Console tells site owners when Google finds hacked content or malware on their site.
Look for: anything other than “No issues detected”. No Search Console access? Choose “Not sure”. Not having it set up is worth fixing too.
Fix the cause before you ask Google to review the site, or the warning comes back.
That’s fine. I’ll check what Google shows from the outside.
Is Google showing pages you never made?
A hacked site can look normal to you while Google lists pages someone else added.
Look for: pages you didn’t create, products you don’t sell, text in a language you don’t use. Scroll a few pages of results.
Don’t just delete those pages. Something on the server keeps making them, and that has to go first.
Not sure what counts as odd? Send it over and I’ll go through the list.
Is a test copy of your site on Google?
Developers often build on a test copy. If it’s public, Google can list a second version of your site.
Look for: any result at all for the test address, or pages on addresses like staging., dev. or test. that you don’t use.
Don’t know the address? Search your other subdomains instead.
Put a password on the test copy. That keeps both people and Google out.
Ask your developer for the test address, or leave it to me.
What is slowing your site down on phones?
A slow page can come from big images, a heavy theme, too many scripts or slow hosting, and each needs a different fix.
Look for: not the score. Read the list of issues under it and note the first few.
Find the cause before you pay for a fix. A speed plugin solves some causes, not all of them.
The report is hard to read the first time. I’ll tell you which items matter.
Does your Google listing give anyone a reason to click?
Your title and description are the first thing a searcher reads. A title like “Home” doesn’t tell them what you do.
Look for: read your title and description like a stranger. Do they say what you do and who it’s for? Google sometimes rewrites them, so check what it actually shows.
Rewrite the title before you rewrite the page.
Send it over and I’ll tell you how it reads to someone who doesn’t know you.

Send me your site
I look at 1 to 3 sites a week. Your answers from the checks above are added for you.
What happens next
- I read your answers and look at the site from the outside, the way Google and a new visitor would.
- You get what I found by email: what Google sees, what’s costing you, and what to fix first.
- If you want help fixing it, we talk about that. If not, the notes are yours to keep.
I only use your details to reply. I feature a site only if you say yes, and with its name and address removed. Privacy policy
